Your Columbia water and sewer bills are probably going up next year, and you’ll have two chances next week to find out more about the proposed changes.
City leaders will tell you how the city plans to use the money to invest in infrastructure and what you could expect your new bills to look like.
The city is considering a 4.75 percent water and sewer rate increase – about $2.50 extra on monthly bills for the average in-city resident – and a $5 monthly increase in stormwater fees for the average household.
The drop-ins are scheduled at City Hall, 1737 Main St., on:
Tuesday, June 13, 4-6 p.m.
Tuesday June 20, 4-6 p.m.
