A vehicle fire apparently involving a tanker truck is slowing traffic on Interstate 20 in Lexington County.

The fire was reported just before 10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20 at mile marker 58, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol’s traffic information website.

State Department of Transportation traffic cameras show smoke billowing from what appears to be a tanker truck on the side of the interstate, which is blocked by vehicles.

The fire started in the truck’s cab, said Lance Cpl. David Jones of the Highway Patrol. One eastbound lane is open but the other is still closed.

No injuries were reported, according to a Lexington County tweet.
