Two Lexington County teens have been charged with multiple counts of vandalism after damaging at least a dozen cars Friday and Saturday nights by throwing rocks onto U.S. 321.
“A 15-year-old Gaston boy and a 16-year-old West Columbia boy were arrested Saturday night near the intersection of Highway 321 and Wilbur Road,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a news release Sunday. “A deputy apprehended the suspects as they fled from a nearby business, which they’ve also been charged with burglarizing.”
Both teens were transported to the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice, Koon said. Their identities were not released because of their ages.
An investigation is continuing.
