Horry County police have issued warrants for two men in connection with a dead horse.
Police responded Dec. 30 for a horse that died that day at the Steadfast Farms.
The person that called police, who was not identified on the incident report, told officers she got the horse in bad condition two days before it died. She wanted to nurse the horse back to health.
Police issued warrants charging Keith Rabon, 37, and Colby Sessions, 19, with violating an Horry County ordinance for care and treatment of animals. Sessions owned the horse before Rabon. Neither had been arrested late Monday. Rabon could not be reached for comment.
Lt. Robert Kegler, with Horry County police, said there are warrants for both men because it is not clear who owned the horse when the alleged abuse began.
