Columbia police have arrested three people in connection with three weekend shootings.
Kenneth Scott, 22, and Robert Gray, 61, have both been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons. Xavier Lamb, 18, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The first incident happened around 4 p.m. Friday at 4012 Trotter Road. Scott is accused of arguing and physically fighting with a male victim before shooting him in both legs, Timmons said. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Timmons said the second incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday night at 1501 Garden Plaza, Gonzalez Gardens.
Robert Gray allegedly shot a male victim in the leg, and a bystander rendered aid to the victim until EMS arrived, Timmons said. The victim did not suffer life threatening injuries.
Timmons said Xavier Lamb allegedly shot at two men while they were walking in the 1600 block of Gregg Street shortly before midnight Saturday. No one was injured in this incident.
