Lexington County deputies have arrested a 21-year-old in connection with a fatal shooting at a West Columbia mobile home park.
Keith Everett Brown has been charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and criminal conspiracy, according to Sheriff Lewis McCarty.
McCarty said Brown shot and killed Luqman Shatone Sims with a Ruger 9-mm handgun while trying to rob him around 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Rolling Meadows Mobile Home Park at 3941 Charleston Highway.
Police later recovered the handgun, McCarty said.

Brown, along with other people, confronted Sims in a roadway at the mobile home park with intent to rob Sims, according to an arrest warrant.
Brown got into a physical altercation with Sims and shot him once in the upper body, McCarty said.
Sims was found lying in the road at the mobile home park Monday night, McCarty said. A relative of Sims, who lived at the mobile home park, reported the shooting,.
Emergency Medical Services took Sims to Lexington Medical Center where he later died.
Detectives are working to identify the people who accompanied Brown during the robbery and fatal shooting, McCarty said.
