A Columbia man was arrested and charged Monday in a 1999 shooting death.
A Crime Stoppers tip led Columbia police cold case detectives to Tarrance Lamont Bellamy, 23, of Lorick Circle off North Main Street, Chief Dean Crisp said in a statement Tuesday.
Bellamy was charged with the murder of Bobby Reese. Reese, 32, was killed instantly Dec. 15, 1999, when a bullet fired through the door of his Clark Street home, near River Drive, struck him in the head, according to news reports at the time.
Bellamy is also charged with attempted armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and unlawful possession of a pistol.
