Officials say they now think the fire that destroyed a cotton mill that was more than 100 years old is suspicious.
York Fire Chief Domenic Manera said Monday authorities have interviewed several people at the scene of the Lockmore Cotton Mill fire but have not identified them as suspects, The (Rock Hill) Herald reports.
The paper says witnesses have reported hearing an explosion about the time the fire began, around 7 p.m. Thursday.

State and local officials have been investigating. No injuries were reported at the site, which was being renovated into apartments for seniors.
