Columbia men injured in shooting

Three men were hospitalized after being shot Tuesday evening.

Someone called police around 7:40 p.m. and said shots had been fired in the 900 block of Gabriel Street. Responding officers found three men, two of them shot in the leg and the third in the chest, the department said.

Palmetto Health Richland doctors treated the men, who were described as medically stable.

Witnesses told police an argument led to the shooting. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 88-CRIME-SC or the Columbia Police Department at (803) 545-3500.
