Two men have been charged in a Jan. 17 killing in Barnwell County, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.

Allendale County residents Tyrell Damon Odoms, 20, and Laparis S. Flowers, 18, are both charged with murder.

They are accused of fatally shooting 19-year-old Christopher Dorch of Blackville.

Police believe the shooting happened after midnight Jan. 17 in the parking lot of the Corner Stop convenience store on Solomon Blatt Avenue in Blackville.

SLED agents believe Odoms and Flowers approached Dorch as he walked through the store’s parking lot and fired several shots at him.

Dorch later died from his injuries.

Witness accounts and video surveillance obtained from the Corner Stop convenience store helped agents in the investigation.
