Richland County authorities have arrested a man officers believe robbed a Broad River Road bank last week.
Dickie Thomas Boyd was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Longcreek Drive off Broad River Road by the Richland County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Task Force and Agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Boyd is charge entering bank, depository or building and loan association with intent to steal.
Reports indicate a man entered the South Carolina State Credit Union on Broad River Road and presented a note to a teller demanding money. Before fleeing in in a burgundy Suzuki SUV, the man then threatened that he would shoot the teller if she made any movements or alerted anyone.
