A man Richland County investigators believe used a butcher knife to rob a Blythewood store has been arrested.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspect, Michael Paul Cornelius, 34, turned himself in Thursday. Cornelius is charged with armed robbery and is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Reports indicate a man wielding a butcher knife entered the Sharpe Shop on Monday and demanded money from the clerk.
Lott said a Crime Stoppers tip helped to identify the suspect.
