Missing Charlotte woman seen in Columbia

Richland County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Charlotte woman who was seen in Columbia on May 6, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a prepared statement.

Nikki Mcphatter was believed to be driving a 2003 black, four-door Honda Accord with a North Carolina tag labeled "PHATTAH." Witnesses saw her in Columbia about 1:30 p.m. May 6; about 6 p.m. the same day, a man wearing a white T-shirt with "staff" written on the back tried to use Mcphatter's credit cards at an ATM at 8800 Farrow Road, Lott said.

A surveillance video at the ATM showed the man was in a gold four-door vehicle, Lott said.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department believes foul play is involved with Mcphatter's disappearance, Lott said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (888) CRIMES-SC.
