It took just 10 minutes or so for Richland County Sheriff's deputies to make arrests of three people in connection with the Wednesday armed robbery of the Check into Cash.
"It was a combination of good police work and citizen tips," said a spokesman for Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott
The robbery at the 6908 Two Notch Road check-cashing operation took place around 12:30 p.m., when two men entered the business.
Flashing guns, the robbers demanded money from two female clerks and received an undisclosed amount. The two men fled and ran to the nearby Best Buy parking lot, where a car driven by a woman was waiting.
The car then was driven onto Two Notch Road. Deputies chased the car down in the 6000 block and made arrests.
Charged with armed robbery and kidnapping are: Quincy Vereen, 25; Devone Hibbler, 27; and Latisha Rochelle Henderon, 27.
The three were to be taken to the Richland County jail. A bail hearing had not been held Thursday.
Department spokesman Chris Cowen praised the witnesses who helped police. "They paid attention, got as much information as they could and conveyed that to police," Cowen said.
