December 12, 2009 12:00 AM

A Lexington man has been charged in connection with a fraudulent lottery card incident at a St. Andrews Road convenience store.

According to Irmo police, Eddie Ray Holshouser, 55, has been charged with intent to defraud the lottery and breach of trust with fraudulent intent.

Holshouser is accused of accepting shipped scratch-off game cards, not placing the cards into inventory and then scratching off the cards and claiming the winnings, police say.

The suspect redeemed two cards, police say.
