3 arrested in fatal KFC shooting

Three men have been arrested in a fatal shooting earlier this month at a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Taylor Street.

Reginald Miller, 19, Victor Antonio White, 19, and Demond M. Sanford, 18, have been charged with murder and armed robbery, the Columbia Police Department announced Friday afternoon.

The three allegedly shot and robbed Steven Pierre Duckett on Feb. 3. Duckett’s body was found in the front seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe at the Taylor Street KFC. Restaurant employees found his truck blocking the drive-through lane when they arrived for work around 9 a.m. Duckett had been shot in the head.

White was arrested Thursday morning by Columbia police, the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division’s fugitive team and the Cayce Department of Public Safety.

Miller was arrested Thursday afternoon and Sanford was arrested Friday morning. Both were apprehended by the Benedict College Campus Police.

Miller and White are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Sanford will be transferred there.
