Lexington county authorities are looking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the robbery Tuesday morning of the Cash Kwik lending business on the 6100 block of St. Andrews Road in Irmo.
Surveillance video, released by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department Thursday and visible below, shows the crime as it unfolded.
The robbery occurred at opening time. An employee told police that she had just unlocked the front door and turned off the alarm at 10:00 a.m. when she saw the suspect pointing a gun at her forehead. She described the suspect as a black man dressed in blue coveralls and wearing a blue bandanna over his face. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect reportedly fled on a black or blue bicycle.
The Lexington County Sheriff's department asks anyone with any information about the robbery or a man riding a black or blue mountain bicycle on St. Andrews Road or Old Bush River Road to call them at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
