A South Carolina man who was about to go on trial for sexually assaulting a minor was found dead Tuesday.
Jeremy Keith Kitchens, 43, was found dead in his camper in Pickens County, according to multiple reports.
The coroner said there was no evidence of foul play, no forced entry to the camper and no visual trauma, 1063word.com reported. An autopsy is being performed to determine his cause of death.
Deputies say Kitchens engaged in unlawful sexual battery with a minor multiple times, according to foxcarolina.com. He was charged in May 2015 and his trial was set to begin Tuesday.

Kitchens was accused of sexually assaulting a girl, who was younger than 10, starting in March 2014, wyff4.com reported. The sheriff’s office began an investigation after receiving information from the Department of Social Services in April 2015.
The investigation surrounding Kitchens’ death is ongoing.
