Richland deputies arrested a man after finding drugs and guns at his home June 9, the department announced Wednesday.
Jeramaine Dontay Fanning, 18, was charged with larceny, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of stolen weapons, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested in the 9400 block of Wilson Boulevard.
Lt. Curtis Wilson said that during a search of Fanning’s home, investigators found several large baggies of marijuana, an AR-15 rifle, a handgun, vacuum sealing devices, packaging materials, several digital scales, a hand-held police scanner, Playstation gaming systems and a laptop.
Officials believe some of the items might have been stolen in recent burglaries.
Tips from the community about drug deals happening in the area led to the bust, Wilson said.
Fanning was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
