Deputies arrested a woman earlier this month after they say she used a company credit card for $30,000 worth of purchases and transferred more than $10,000 from the company to her personal bank account.
Valoree Corbett, 55, has been charged with breach of trust, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies arrested Corbett June 4 at her home on Angus Drive, the sheriff’s department announced Thursday.
Sheriff Leon Lott said that Air Advance Heating and Air Conditioning notified the sheriff’s department of the crime.
Corbett purchased electronics, furniture and vacations, and paid personal bills with the company credit card, Lott said. She was employed as an office manager at the company.
Investigators say the incidents happened between 2014 and 2015.
