School districts schedule snow makeup days

That skiff of snow and ice that prompted school closings on Inauguration Day thrilled many youngsters. But savvy students and parents know even time off for a brief vacation has to be made up.

With that in mind, some Midlands districts have announced make-up days:

-- Richland 1 students will go to school Feb. 16, President's Day holiday.

-- Richland 2 will make up its snow day March 13.

-- Lexington 1 students will go to school March 13.

-- Lexington 2 students will go to school Feb. 16.

-- Lexington 3 students will make up the day April 13.

-- Lexington 4 has planned its first make-up day April 13.

-- Lexington-Richland 5 will make up the day March 6.

-- Kershaw County schools will make up the day Feb. 16.
