Expert on religion, public policy to speak

T. Jeremy Gunn, an expert on religious freedom and director of the ACLU’s Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief, will deliver a 12:45 p.m. lecture at USC’s School of Law Tuesday on religion in the public square.

Gunn, author of “Spiritual Weapons: The Cold War and the Forging of an American National Religion,” will discuss religion in the public square, focusing on how the United States approaches the intersection of religion, law and culture.

Gunn holds a Ph.D. as well as a law degree and is a senior fellow for religion and human rights at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University School of Law.
