2020 candidate Kamala Harris returning to SC for Upstate stop

U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California will visit an Upstate college when she returns to South Carolina later this month.

The 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful will appear with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell at a town hall at Wofford College on May 28 at 10 p.m., according to a network statement.

Harris has made numerous campaign stops in South Carolina during the 2020 race. Notably, she met with several S.C. teachers ahead of the #AllOutMay1 walkout. The senator has been a proponent for using federal dollars to invest in teacher pay and has called for raises on several occasions.
