At least six South Carolinians will speak next week at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn of Columbia, Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin, former state Rep. Bakari Sellers of Bamberg County and S.C. Democratic Party chair Jaime Harrison will be among the speakers at the convention, which starts Monday.
Two survivors of last summer’s Emanuel AME Church shooting, Felicia Sanders and Polly Sheppard, also will speak at the convention, according to the Charleston Post and Courier.
Democratic Party officials have not yet released a detailed speaking schedule.
