A Myrtle Beach woman was killed in an early morning two vehicle crash Monday outside of Conway, according to authorities.
Melanie Boyer, 32, of Myrtle Beach was pronounced dead from internal injuries at 8:25 a.m. Monday while being treated at Conway Medical Center, Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said.
Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol said the crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. Monday on U.S. 378 about five miles west of Conway.
A 2006 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle driven by Cynthia Magana, 43, was traveling east when she attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway, Collins said. She failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck by a 2001 Ford driven by Boyer.

Boyer and a passenger were taken to a local hospital, Collins said. Boyer was not wearing a seatbelt, but Magana, who also was taken to a local hospital, was wearing one at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol, Collins said.
