The body of a Lancaster man who had been reported missing has been found, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
The body of Timothy Taylor Wash, 26, was discovered in his vehicle in a parking lot near the intersection of Wylie and York streets in the city of Lancaster at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sheriff Barry Faile said in a statement Wednesday morning.
“We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wash. We always hope for a positive outcome in missing person cases and are disappointed in the outcome of this matter,” Faile said. “We will work with the Lancaster Police Department in this investigation and will share the information we learned as we searched for Mr. Wash.”
Deputies in Lancaster County asked for the public’s help on Tuesday to find Wash.
Wash went to work Saturday and had not been seen since, Doug Barfield, spokesman for Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, said on Tuesday.
Wash’s girlfriend reported him missing on Sunday, Barfield said.
An investigation, involving Lancaster police and sheriff’s Office, SLED and Lancaster County Coroner’s Office is ongoing, Lancaster County Coroner Karla Deese said in a statement.
