In his Oct. 23 letter (“Graham, Gowdy on witch hunt”), Paul Denman decries the Benghazi “fuss.” Suppose everything he claims about illegal arms activities is true — and I have no evidence that it is not. Don’t we citizens have a right to be told about them and who was responsible? Is there any hope of those in charge coming forth voluntarily, after years of silence and denials, to admit to it?
I, for one, hope that these hearings uncover the truth behind the whole mess: what was going on, who was behind it, who authorized it, who was responsible for the attacks, why we took no actions to save American lives, who knew what and when they knew it, and whatever else we should be told.
Without this “witch hunt,” there is no chance at all that we will ever find out.
