Once S.C. State University was the pride of education, a symbol of achievement of a community and a resource of talent and skill that contributed to the world. But today, because of alleged poor management by its Board of Trustees, S.C. State stands out as an embarrassment to many people of South Carolina.
The university has shown the inability to access, grasp and correct its problems in a fast and efficient manner, and it seems that our state government is just as incompetent. All we have heard is don’t-make-sense policies from the leaders in our state embedded in politics, culture and territorial protection. South Carolinians must weed out those who are incompetent or with poor moral ethics or who lack a great understanding of business.
Because of certain rules or regulations,
we are having problems making corrective actions. I would like to remind the politicians that this is their job. If there are rules that don’t benefit the people of South Carolina, then change them. South Carolinians are great and honorable people, but we must have foresight, intuition and leadership from our so-called leaders.
