Why do we keep having horrible shootings, and why can’t we prevent them? Maybe it’s because our children are brought up surrounded by violence.
The movies they see, the television they watch, the things they see on the internet, the video games they play, where they get points for killing people on their screen, have become the norm.
Many talk about standing up for the people and the side of right, but have hands that smack of complicity.
Stable children are able to deal with this. But when an unstable child watches and hears of this trash day after day, can you wonder what it does? Maybe we should take a closer look at our culture.
We can pass all the laws we want about guns and school safety, but until we stop exposing our children to violence, nothing will change.
