COACHES: Clemson - Oliver Purnell (381-270 in 22 seasons, 125-79 in seven seasons at Clemson); ECU - Mack McCarthy (337-218 in 19 seasons, 28-41 in three seasons at ECU).
What to watch:
Clemson has won 11 consecutive nonconference road games, a school record and the longest current streak in the ACC. It figures to have to shoot better from long range than it did in its 29-point, post-exams victory Sunday against Furman. It was the first time since 2005 (at Duke) and just second time since 1991 the Tigers failed to make a 3-pointer, going 0-for-11. Clemson had ranked second in the ACC in 3-point accuracy entering the game. Former USC signee Darrius Morrow leads ECU in rebounding (6.6) and ranks third in scoring (11.7).
G 5-11 Brock Young, Jr. 15.7
G 6-2 Jontae Sherrod, Jr. 12.4
F 6-6 Jamar Abrams, Jr. 8.6
PF 6-8 Darrius Morrow, So. 11.7
C 6-10 Chad Wynn, Jr. 9.1
PG 6-2 Demontez Stitt, Jr. 10.4
G 6-5 Tanner Smith, So. 10.8
F 6-6 David Potter, Sr. 9.6
PF 6-7 Trevor Booker, Sr. 14.1
C 6-8 Jerai Grant, Jr. 5.7
ECU is 2-0 at home but lost at Tennessee by 39 and at Wake Forest by 31. A comfy Clemson win should fall between the two.
