The Clemson Tigers football team could hear its name a lot come July 12.

That’s the night of ESPN’s ESPY awards, and Dabo Swinney’s squad is in the running for a few.

The Tigers’ 35-31 title game win against Alabama was nominated for Best Upset. That national crown earned them a shot at Best Team, with star passer Deshaun Watson in strong position to claim the title of Best College Male Athlete and Best Championship Performance.

Clemson went 14-1, toppling the defending national champion Crimson Tide in a rematch of the previous season’s championship game classic. Alabama had been a 6 1/2-pount favorite.

Watson finished a second consecutive regular season in New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist. He threw for 4,593 yards, 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions and was drafted No. 12 overall by the Houston Texans. He threw for 420 yards with three touchdowns and ran for another score against the Crimson Tide.

The ESPYs are July 12. Fans can vote here.
