A familiar face – and tail – danced across the stage of “The Tonight Show” on Monday.
The Clemson Tiger and several other NCAA mascots crashed host Jimmy Fallon’s opening monologue on the NBC late-night show for March Madness.
As Fallon tried to make his way through a series of jokes, each joke was interrupted by one of the mascots running onstage and busting a move to music played by the show’s band, The Roots.
“In sports, I saw that Tiger Woods is preparing,” Fallon began before the Tiger, wearing a white Clemson basketball jersey, bursts onto the stage and does a jig with him.
The Tiger was joined by the mascots from UNC, Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, Pitt and Virginia.
“I get it. You guys want to dance, right?” Fallon asks the group of mascots. “All right. As long as you’re all here, hit it, Roots!”
As the band again strikes up, the mascots as a group do their own freestyle dance moves before they groove off the set.
