Shaw is a member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad.
"It feels great,'' he said earlier this week to the ClevelandBrowns.com after being retained by the Browns. "It's where I was invested. I worked my butt off the past three months that I have been here (to make the team.) The plan is to continue to develop and hopefully get better every week, and I'll be prepared if something should happen during the season."
Shaw completed 8-9 passes for 123 yards, including a 45-yard Hail Mary TD pass in an exhibition game against the Washington Redskins.
Shaw is insurance behind Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel.
