The 6-foot-5, 230-pound sophomore receiver caught his first touchdown pass of the season on a 15-yard toss from Stephen Garcia in the first quarter.
The sophomore cornerback intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown to put the Paladins away.
USC pass rush
USC kept Furman quarterback Cody Worley on the run all night. The Gamecocks piled up seven sacks — two by tackle Travian Robertson — and also forced him into a number of quick throws.
Although he put together a solid passing game with 143 yards and two touchdowns, his two interceptions of the season put a damper on his evening. The second was tipped and returned by Furman freshman defensive end Shawn Boone for a touchdown.
