Devin Taylor’s NFL career will continue in New York City.
The former Gamecock and Detroit Lion has signed with the New York Giants, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
Taylor, who played at Beaufort High, was drafted by the Lions in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He had 92 tackles and 15 sacks in four seasons in Detroit, including seven sacks in 2015 and 4.5 sacks last year.
He played for Steve Spurrier and South Carolina from 2008 to 2012. Taylor had 35.5 career tackles for loss and 18.5 sacks for the Gamecocks. He played in 52 games and started 45 at USC.
