South Carolina's Devin Taylor and Marcus Lattimore were recognized by the SEC on Monday for their performances against Tennessee on Saturday.
Taylor was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after having a hand in three turnovers. Taylor recovered a pair of fumbles and intercepted a pass that he returned 24 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Lattimore shares this week's Freshman of the Week honors with two other players. Lattimore rushed for 184 yards on 29 carries and one touchdown and had 2 catches for 26 yards in the win. Other freshmen recognized were Auburn tailback Michael Dyer (180 yards, 21 carries, one touchdown) and Florida fullback Trey Burton (110 yards, 17 carries, two TDs; five catches, 35 yards; 2-for-2 passing, 26 yards).
Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett was named Offensive Player of the Week after he completed 27-of-44 passes for 409 yards and three TDs with no interceptions in the team's 49-14 win over Vanderbilt.
