The SEC honored Marcus Lattimore again after the true freshman's standout performance Saturday against Troy.
Lattimore was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Monday. He rushed for 102 yards on seven carries with three touchdowns in South Carolina's 69-24 win over Troy.
Lattimore set the school’s single-season touchdown record with his 17th, 18th and 19th scores. He has 1,066 rushing yards, the sixth-best season in school history.
“It was just real fun,” Lattimore said. “It just shows how much our offensive line works and how explosive we are as an offense, and it makes me feel good.”

Lattimore scored on a 17-yard run on USC's first play from scrimmage. He also added an 8-yard TD run and a 5-yard scamper in the Gamecocks’ next drives.
Lattimore's 19 touchdowns are one shy of the SEC freshman record held by Reggie Cobb of Tennessee (20 in 1987).
His 1,066 rushing yards this season is also seventh among freshmen in SEC history. He needs 47 yards to move to sixth (Darren McFadden, Arkansas, 1,113 in 2005).
