Two Gamecocks have earned postseason recognition from Phil Steele Publications, it was announced Wednesday.

Sophomore wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been named to the first-team All-America squad, while running back Marcus Lattimore was named to Steele's fourth-team All-America squad.

Lattimore was a first-team selection on the All-Freshman squad and was selected as the Offensive Freshman of the Year.

Jeffery, a 6-4, 233-pounder from St. Matthews, set South Carolina school records in both receptions (79) and receiving yards in a season (1,387). He was one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nation's top receiver and has been a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection.

He was a first-team All-American according to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and was a second team selection by the Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF) and the Associated Press.

Lattimore, a six-foot, 218-pounder from Duncan, logged 1,198 yards rushing and has scored 19 touchdowns in 12 games. Lattimore has been named National Freshman of the Year by CBSSportsline.com, Rivals.com and CollegeFootballNews.com; was a second team Walter Camp All-American; earned first team All-SEC honors; and has been a unanimous choice as SEC Freshman of the Year.
