South Carolina alum Darius Rucker would gladly trade a Grammy for a football National Championship by his beloved Gamecocks.
Rucker, who won two Grammys as the lead singer of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish which he founded in 1986 at USC, was a guest Wednesday on the Dan Patrick Show.
Asked by Patrick if he would give up a Grammy in exchange for USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney winning the Heisman Trophy, Rucker said he’d take the Grammy.
Then, asked by Patrick if he would give up a Grammy for a Gamecocks’ National Championship, Rucker said, "I’ll take the National Championship."

In 1994, Hootie & The Blowfish earned two Grammy awards from "Cracked Rear View," which featured hits such as, "Hold My Hand," "Time," "Let Her Cry," and "I Only Want to Be With You."
He has a current country hit single, "Wagon Wheel."
