South Carolina tailback Marcus Lattimore continued to add to his resume Tuesday.

CBSSports.com honored the Gamecocks’ freshman sensation as the national freshman of the year and SEC coaches named him first-team All-SEC on Tuesday. On Monday, Lattimore was named the SEC freshman of the year and first-team All-SEC by The Associated Press.

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray finished second in the CBSSports.com’s freshman balloting, followed by Wisconsin running back James White.

Lattimore was the unanimous first-place pick.

Lattimore has 1,198 rushing yards this season, best among SEC running backs. He has had the third-best rushing season in school history, trailing only George Rogers’ 1980 (1,894) and 1979 (1,681) seasons, and he set the school record for touchdowns with 19.

Teammates Alshon Jeffery and Stephon Gilmore joined Lattimore on the coaches’ All-SEC first team. Jeffery leads the SEC and set a USC single-season record with 1,387 receiving yards. Gilmore, who was named second-team All-SEC by the media, leads the Gamecocks with 71 tackles.

Offensive lineman Garrett Chisolm and defensive ends Cliff Matthews and Devin Taylor were named second-team All-SEC by the coaches. Chisolm started 11 of 12 games at left guard this season. Taylor is second on the team and fourth in the SEC with 7.5 sacks; Matthews has 4.5 sacks.
