Dorman quarterback hopes to visit USC

Junior QB Collin Hill (6-4 200) of Dorman took an unofficial visit to Georgia last weekend and could return this weekend. Coming off the big win over Dutch Fork where he was 21-35 for 330 yards and two touchdowns, Hill traveled to Athens to take a look at the Bulldogs.

"It was my first time there and I had a lot of fun," Hill said. "It was a blowout (against Troy) but the fans still packed it out, even for a game like that."

While on the visit, Georgia coaches asked him to return this weekend for the Tennessee game. "I don't know if I can go yet," he said. "I'll need to talk to my parents about it."

One trip he is sure of will be the following week. Hill heads out West to Arizona to see the Wildcats host Southern Cal. Other schools showing interest include USC, Florida State, Stanford, Tennessee, Purdue, Utah, Appalachian State, Pitt, Louisville, Duke, Central Florida and NC State.

Hill would like to get to USC for a game this season. He joked about a missed opportunity. "USC invited me to the East Carolina game," he said. "The problem was that I didn't get the letter in the mail until the Wednesday after the game. Obviously, I couldn't make it."

He is showing interest in the Gamecocks. "I camped down there this summer and they told me I threw the ball well," Hill said. "I like them a lot. It's really close to home and I have a sister that goes there. I've been to games there before and you can't beat the atmosphere."

Hill does not have any favorites.
