Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (6-6 240) of South Pointe has scheduled his official visit to South Carolina for this weekend, his coach Bobby Carroll said Thursday afternoon.
South Pointe plays its first round playoff game Thursday night, so with a free weekend, Clowney decided to take his closest official visit trip now.
"He's been down there some many times, I don't think he realizes it's going to be different," Carroll said. "In fact, he's not going to get there until Saturday morning around 10."
Clowney has been to two other games at USC this season and also visited several other times unofficially.

Carroll said Clowney will take the remainder of his official visits after he plays in the Under Armour All American Game.
Right now those visits are going to be to Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and Florida State.
