A non-conference game with an early kickoff will limit the number of prospects visiting USC on Saturday.
The Gamecocks will have one official visit, defensive lineman Leon Mackey (6-6 270) of Hinds JC, MS.
Mackey is no stranger to Columbia. He signed with the Gamecocks in February of 2009 out of Hargrave Prep, VA. He did not qualify and enrolled at Hinds, where he made all-state both seasons.
This season he had 47 tackles with 15.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks. Mackey still has some academic work to complete to be able to transfer to a D-1 program next summer.

Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas Tech are some of the other schools to show interest in him. His former coach at Hargrave is an assistant at Texas Tech.
The following uncommitted players for the class of 2011 have indicated they will make unofficial visits to USC Saturday:
-- LB Lateek Townsend, Marlboro County | He has taken official visits to USC and Southern Cal and will be at Clemson for next week's game. He's not sure if that will be an official or an unofficial visit. He's also looking at LSU and Florida for official visits. He's not claiming a favorite.
-- DL Phillip Dukes, Manning | This will be Dukes' fourth game of the season at USC. He's been to Clemson once and plans to be there next week. He plans to set up his official visits by the end of next week with USC, Clemson, Miami and Alabama. USC remains a close leader over Clemson.
-- DL Gerald Dixon, Jr., Northwestern | Originally was going to make an official visit this weekend but will wait and take it during bowl practice. He's a been a regular visitor this season and favors the Gamecocks. He also wants to visit Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee, LSU and Auburn.
-- DE Gerald Dixon, South Pointe | Ditto his brother.
-- DL Roderick Byers, Northwestern | Like the Dixons, changed his visit to unofficial for this weekend and will visit officially during bowl practice. Will take official to Georgia Tech December 10th. Clemson is also possible for an official visit.
-- TE Jerrell Adams, Scotts Branch | He's been to practically every USC home game and was at Florida last weekend. He's favoring the Gamecocks over Clemson and Auburn. He'll be at Clemson next weekend.
-- QB Shamier Jeffery, Calhoun County | He's been a regular at USC games to watch his brother Alshon. He's also been to games at Auburn and Kentucky. He plans to set official visits with USC, Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee. He's favoring the Gamecocks.
One prospect USC had talked with about a visit this weekend was QB Jacoby Brissett (6-5 235) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. That did not work out for this weekend, but the Gamecocks are still in his plans for an official visit. He has visited Wisconsin.
He also likes North Carolina, Notre Dame, LSU, Florida State and South Florida. Brissett also is a basketball prospect and is a former teammate of USC basketball player Ramon Galloway.
The Gamecocks also are expecting several prospects for the 2012 class to be in attendance Saturday.
