Defensive end Gerald Dixon of South Pointe and his brother defensive lineman Gerald Dixon Jr. of Northwestern are once again giving thought to ending their recruiting with a likely commitment to USC.
The two had talked about commiting at the Shrine Bowl but later changed that plan.
Monday night Dixon of South Pointe said he and his brother are thinking again about pulling the trigger on a pledge.
"We've been talking about it and narrowing it down," Dixon said. "Could by anytime soon. We've got to talk to our parents."
Dixon confirmed that USC is out front for both.
"We like how Coach Spurrier is building his program," Dixon said. "We like how he's turned the whole program around."
The brothers are scheduled for an official visit to USC Jan. 21st and have no other visits planned. Gamecock recruiter Brad Lawing has been the only coach to visit the house thus far.
Dixon said N.C. State is also showing interest in both, and he's also been hearing from Maryland and Florida State.
The Dixon brothers played in the Shrine Bowl, where they combined for five tackles and two sacks.
