USC is the first school to offer TE/LB Kevin Crosby Jr. (6-1 223) of Bamberg-Ehrhardt, a 14 year old who will be a sophomore this season.
Crosby's coach, who is also his father, said Monday USC recruiter Jay Graham called Monday morning and made the verbal offer to his son who was named a high school freshman All-American last season.
Meantime, Crosby says the recruiting of his senior DE Martin Aiken (6-3 245) remains intense. Aiken and the Crosbys visited Auburn Saturday. "It's a great place," coach Crosby said. "It reminds you of Bamberg. It's a football town. Family and football. It's real close knit. They loved it, an awesome experience."
This Saturday Martin and Crosby Jr. will be at USC for the Gamecocks' scrimmage. "Coach Graham wants to show Martin some things he hasn't seen before and how practice is run," Coach Crosby said. The following Saturday they will go to Clemson's spring game.
"Martin is still wide open," the coach said "Everyone is even. But Auburn was a big eye opener."
