Alabama recruiter Chris Rumph has a strong liking for Hemingway WR Jabril Solomon and is indicating he'll be making an offer soon according to Tigers' assistant coach Clay Owens.
"Alabama could offer at anytime," Owens said. "Coach Rumph plans to get back down to see him." Rumph came by the school last month but it was during spring break so he missed Solomon on that trip.
Solomon has offers from Clemson, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Nebraska, NC State and Wake Forest. Coaches from Clemson, USC, NC State, East Carolina and Coastal Carolina have been by.
Clemson's Danny Pearman was at the school for most of last Wednesday and the Tigers are in the drivers seat. "Clemson is really interested and that's his favorite," Owens said. "South Carolina likes him but is not sure where he will play."
Most recruiters like Solomon as a receiver because of his speed. This past weekend he won the 100 and 200 meters and anchored the winning 4X100 relay team in the 1A lower state track meet.
Owens said this summer Solomon will visit Clemson, East Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest to get a better feel for each program.
