Two position standout Cordrea Tankersley of Silver Bluff has offers from USC, Clemson, Miami and Minnesota.
He's also getting interest from North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Notre Dame. All of the interested schools came through this spring and early next week Tankersley will decide on summer camps and visits.
Silver Bluff coach Al Lown said Wednesday that USC and Clemson are the strongest with Tankersley. The Gamecocks are recruiting him as a receiver, and the Tigers like him as a defensive back.
"He's been to both several times," Lown said. "If I were a betting man, I'd say it would be between Carolina and Clemson. I can't tell a favorite. Both have done a good job recruiting him."
What will help Tankersley in making the decision is the fact the schools are recruiting him for different positions. But then again, his coach said Tankersley doesn't really care which position he plays in college.
"He has no preference on position," Lown said. "That's secondary to going to a place where he feels real comfortable."
