Lexington wide receiver Shaq Roland returned to Columbia on Tuesday from an unofficial visit to Florida.
He was joined on the visit by his coach Scott Earley.
"He toured, he got the red carpet treatment," Earley said. "He was impressed but I don't think anything has changed. He's going to Athens Saturday and that will be it for visits."
Earley said Roland continues to favor South Carolina with Alabama, Georgia and Florida the next three schools in order.
Roland, the state's consensus top prospect in the class of 2012, will visit Georgia on Saturday with his basketball coach Bailey Harris, who is going there for a camp.
Earley said Roland has made numerous visits to USC and is there Tuesday for a basketball tournament.
Roland will announce his commitment in August before the start of his season, Earley said.
