6-9 Brice Johnson of Edisto made his official visit to Florida over the weekend with his father and his AAU coach. It's the third official visit Johnson has made following trips to North Carolina and NC State.
“It was good, he enjoyed it,” said Johnson’s AAU coach Dion Bethea. “They went around and saw the academic people. He watched some of them (Florida players) work out. And we went to the game.”
Bethea said Billy Donovan and his staff continue to make a strong push for Johnson. “They know that he’s a top priority, they really want to have him,” Bethea said. “Who wouldn’t?”
Bethea said USC and Clemson will get official visits and Johnson is working on those dates and hopes to have them set in the next day or two.
Monday NC State recruiter Orlando Early was in for a visit and Donovan is due back in on Wednesday.
Johnson plans to make his decision after visiting the in state schools. “It’s still up in the air,” Bethea said. “Nobody is leading.”
