ATH Mykal Moody (5-11 185) of Conway visited USC Saturday and was impressed with Steve Spurrier. "He is a real good coach," Moody said. "You can tell by the tone he has when he talks to you. He talked a lot about their academics and what they have in place to help you graduate."
Academics is very important to the Conway product. "I'm going to school to get an education," he said. "They're a real good school academically and they also have a really good football program. I really like their coaching staff."
Moody is being recruited to play slot receiver and says they discussed using him in the wildcat. He has already visited Clemson and is making plans to visit Oregon and NC State.
As for offers, he is unsure which schools have given him one. "I know a lot of schools are interested but our coach doesn't really tell us who has offered," Moody said. "He wants us to stay focused."
Moody does not have any favorites but is interested in USC and Clemson as well as Oregon and NC State. He will visit Georgia Tech February 18th.
